1. சுற்றுச்சூழல் மற்றும் காலநிலை மாற்ற அமைச்சகம், இராமநாதபுரம், விருதுநகர், கோயம்புத்தூர் மற்றும் நீலகிரி ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களுக்காக ‘தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கான காலநிலை நடவடிக்கை கண்காணிப்பு’ மற்றும் ‘காலநிலை கார்பன் நீக்க பாதைகள்’ அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
2. மாவட்ட கார்பன் நீக்க செயல் திட்டம் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு காலநிலை நடவடிக்கை கண்காணிப்பு ஆகியவை நிகர பூஜ்ஜிய இலக்கை நோக்கி வழிநடத்தும் சக்திவாய்ந்த கருவிகள் ஆகும்.
3. இந்த கட்டமைப்பு மாநிலம் முழுவதும் படிப்படியாக விரிவுபடுத்தப்படும்.
4. ‘மீண்டும் மஞ்சப்பை’ இயக்கம் பொறுப்பான நுகர்வின் அடையாளமாக மாறியுள்ளது.
5. ‘தூய்மை இயக்கம்’ மூலம் கழிவு மேலாண்மையில் மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி தூய்மையான தமிழ்நாட்டை உருவாக்குதல்.
6. கடந்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் தமிழ்நாடு 10 GW புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றலைச் சேர்த்துள்ளது.
7. மாநிலத்தின் மொத்த மின் உற்பத்தித் திறனில் சுமார் 60% புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றல் மூலங்களிலிருந்து பெறப்படுகிறது.
8. இதில் கோயம்புத்தூரில் 500 நகரப் பேருந்துகளை மின்சாரமாக்குதல் மற்றும் 2030க்குள் ஐந்து லட்சம் தெருவிளக்குகளை LED ஆக மாற்றுதல் அடங்கும்.
